Home / Modern Device / Arduino / Freeduino / Servo / LCD 3 Wire Cables with Two Female Ends
Servo / LCD 3 Wire Cables with Two Female Ends

These are 12" & 24"  3-conductor servo cable with two female ends. This cable is perfect for interfacing the LCD serial board or analog sensors to an Arduino or BBB.  We just started stocking the 24" cables. There isn't a picture of the 24" cable, but it looks just like the 12" cable only longer - we hope you can imagine it.

Comes with 1 three-pin double height male header for interfacing the cable to Arduino female headers or breadboards.

I have a tragic and funny story about these cables. One would think that the “male” or “female” description of these connectors would be fairly cut and dried, along pretty familiar principles.

So most people would refer to these connectors as “female”. In the RC servo industry though, these are referred to as male connectors, presumably because the whole connector plugs into mating connectors on servo extension cables.

A friend of mine had to send back to his supplier for rework, a thousand of these cables, but now he’s more clear on the concepts of male and female – at least regarding servo connectors.

Moral – a picture is worth a thousand connectors.

    Specifications

    12" or 24"
    .100" pitch
2 female connectors, depending on who you ask
